Trauma Sensitive Yoga


Jennifer Monroe

Jen is a 500 registered yoga teacher and owner of Rising Strong LLC. Though, not a licensed therapist, she brings decades of experience in the health, wellness and human services industries. Her deepest commitment is to empower, inspire and allow you a brave space for healing. 

Jen's goal is to help people become the best version of themselves and guide them to live an empowered and inspired life. Jen believes that yoga goes far beyond the mat and into your entire life. Yoga can be used as a form of movement and exercise, but also as a way to look inward. 

Jen's teaching style brings a balance of strength and softness. She brings a compassionate and encouraging attitude along with a smile. Jen is committed to personal growth. She is passionate about helping others explore where yoga can take them. Her special interests include trauma, grief, body image and addiction.  


Group Event

Often the relationship we have with the body is one of extremes. For many of us it has involved fighting an internal war of bargaining, negotiating and self shaming that leaves us ignoring our needs.

In the practice of yoga we develop a set of communication skills that deepen our ability to pay attention to what our body is saying.
